Springtime is the Best Time!

Hey everyone!! I know that most of you are dealing with snow and all that good stuff, but it definitely feels like spring down here so that is what mindset I am in! Also, Spring break for ASU starts next week, so I don't think I am too far off. Anyway, my week was awesome! Let me share with you some awesome stuff.

I emailed you all on Tuesday last week because we went to the Mesa temple! I am not sure how many of you know, but the Mesa temple and the grounds around it are being closed for renovations for two years starting in May. Pretty crazy. We have a really cool opportunity to attend something called an “Easter pageant”, which is a play depicting the life of Jesus Christ! 

It happens every year around easter, so we are really hyping it up because there is no guarantee on when the next one will be. So excited for it! 

I went on an exchange with Elder Astle on Saturday. He is one of the assistants to the president, and it was such a good time. We found a few new people to teach, and one of our investigators named Cody came to a baptism that night and wants to get baptized himself! There are some things we are working through with him, but he is super cool and hopefully he will be on track for a date soon!

Finally, we were very lucky to get permission from our mission president to go to a Spring Training baseball game here in Mesa. We watched the Cubs play the Mariners! 

Missions are great, the church is so true! I love you all and I know God does too!

It's hot. Hello everyone!! As you may or may not know, this week is the final full week of my missionary service! That is a really crazy things to say but I am so grateful for the things that I have learned and the people I have built strong connections with. I wanted to share with you three lessons that I have learned during my missionary service. There are many, but you’ll have to ask me for details later ;)  First off, I have a deep conviction of how much God truly loves all of us. I know that we are His sons and His daughters. There is nothing more valuable to me than that important fact. The Inferno: The Final Week

When Sister Benjamin gives birthday presents.   Hello everyone! That's right, we are coming up on the last week of  what I classify as the inferno. It's been a pretty brutal summer as  always, but actually not as bad as it was when I came in last August.  I'm definitely becoming more accustomed to extreme heat ALL the time.  But September and October will still be 90s and 100s, and once  Halloween hits then we get into the good stuff. So next week I'll  actually have more exciting subject titles. Anyways, this week was awesome. We had something called "stake  Conference", which basically means all of the congregations in the  South Phoenix area met together in one building for two hours to be  taught by some leaders of the church. For us, since we are both adults  and mission leaders, we had two more two hour meetings on Saturday,  and then the normal meeting on Sunday. So 6 hours of church! Attending Baptisms!!

Mother's Day Skype! Hey!!! I hope all of you are going awesome. This week was pretty awesome and busy, which is always a good thing. We had some pretty cool experiences that really helped me, so I hope they will help you too. First off, this week my companion and I did something called "Zone Recommendations" where we meet with the missionaries in our zone and review their strengths, improvements, and just think about what we can do to help them improve. It took up about 6-8 hours to do, so it was spread out during the week, but it was awesome to see how many changes people can make when they set goals and make plans for themselves to grow. I would encourage every single one of you to set personal goals for you, your schooling, your career, family, whatever it may be, and I promise you that will help you see change and see improvement, and you will know how you can continue to do so.
