Christmas? What?

Arizona can be beautiful, too!
Hey there all my lovely people! Thanksgiving was pretty great, wasn’t it? I always love getting together for the main purpose of being thankful, but eating tons of food is a pretty good secondary purpose. Food is life. I hope you all felt that as well.

Thanksgiving was awesome! That morning we played some football with our district, took a nap, had dinner, took another nap, then played like 30 rounds of UNO. Good times. It’s pretty weird to have free time as a missionary, you always feel like you should be doing something. So it was a pretty intense day, but I had so much to be thankful for. We went to dinner with a guy named Brigham Dallas, who is quite the stud. He invited about 20 people over for Thanksgiving dinner, so it was a party. There was tons of food, and he is such a nice guy. He offered to host for all the people who didn’t have families to spend the day with, and all those who just needed a place to go. It was so great to interact with all of those people! Good times for sure!

Probably the coolest experience from this week was in relation to something we call “finding”. That basically means that in order to teach people about Christ, we have to find people willing to be taught about Christ. So that was a huge part of our week. This was the last week of our monthly goal, which we had to find 4 new people to teach this week, which is a lot in our area. So, as of Friday we had found no one. We were a little stressed but we decided to say a prayer and ask for help! That day, we found 2 new people. The next day, we did the same thing, and WHAM! We found 2 more. And yesterday we found another! Not only did we achieve our goal but we surpassed it! I know that letting God know we need his help when we are faced with hard tasks puts us in a great position to see miracles happen. Give it a shot this week!

This week there is also a Christmas campaign starting called “Light the World”. Head to Mormon.org to check out the video, but basically every single day of December we can take opportunities to serve others just like Christ did! It is pretty cool, but I won’t explain it too much because you have to check it out yourself! Service is the greatest! Focusing on other people makes you so much happier. Love you everyone! Participate with me and it’ll be a great thing you’ll never forget! I hope you all have an awesome week!
